At Prime Paddling, our group of highly experienced coaches and instructors ensure that everyone has an experience that is not to be forgotten - "BEST DAY EVER!"
Through our experience, we provide a high-quality programme that builds on skills, physical and interpersonal, and we adapt and tailor our programme to suit the individuals. The programme is overseen by our director Alex Merrifield; who is a fully qualified teacher at a local junior school.
Our activities also fall under the Adventurous Activities Licensing Authority - this means that our safety and procedures have been approved by the authority.
Additionally, all of the activities we provide are fully insured and all our staff have an Enhanced DBS check. On top of this we are Ofsted Registered.
There is not a better or safer provider that you could choose to care for your children.
Am I on the water every day?
Yes! - We aim to spend at least half of every day out on the water having fun exploring our lake and surrounding areas. But we are still guided by the weather - this might mean that some days the water activities are shorter than we would like.
For the remainder of the day, they'll be learning new skills on land, including rescue training, pioneering, orienteering, coracle building and much more!
Do I need any experience?
No - you might be a pro or you are a complete beginner. Our highly trained coaches will support and challenge every individual in a bespoke way that suits their needs.
We are here to teach the skills, your child is there to have fun and learn throughout the week.
What would I need to bring?
All you will need is:
a warm change of clothes
a packed lunch
water gear (this could just be shorts and t-shirt)
wetsuit (optional - we have limited available to borrow during the week)
a pair of shoes to wear in the water
Everything else will be provided by us, including: the buoyancy aid, paddles, boats, boards, equipment and many other activities to do.
Let us know if you have any questions.
